Make a difference in your community by training as a Fairfax County Tree Steward
Schedule will be available this Fall!
Make a commitment to improving and protecting your community forests through 30 hours of volunteer service and 8 hours of continuing education during the next year after training.
Volunteer training classes will prepare you to better serve your community. You will learn about:
• the basics of tree biology and physiology,
• tree identification,
• tree planting and maintenance techniques,
• the construction impacts on trees,
• appropriate pruning
• and selecting the right tree for the right spot.
